TPNODL celebrates 51st National Safety Week

Balasore, 04th March 2022: TP Northern Odisha Distribution Limited (TPSODL), a joint venture between Tata Power and the Odisha Government, for power distribution in Northern Odisha, embarked on the celebration of National Safety Week today. The celebration will continue from 4th March to 10th March 2022. The company also celebrated Lineman Day today as a mark of honor for the linemen who ensured uninterrupted power supply to the consumers.

The National Safety Week campaign has been launched to a drive safety culture amongst all stakeholders. The theme selected for this campaign is Nurture Young Minds, to develop Safety Culture, as the company plans to involve new graduates, young technocrats, and innovative minds to foster a safe work culture. The celebration began with Mr Bhaskar Sarkar, CEO, TPNODL unfurled the National Safety flag along with Mr Dushyant Kumar Tyagi, Chief Operation Services; Mr Siladitya Sengupta, CFO, and Mr Sriballav Singh Chief HR and Admin.

Safety awareness message from the CEO was webcasted to all the divisions under TPNODL. Apart from this various activities explaining and signifying safety measures such as, practical demonstration of PPE, screening of safety films in the units and colonies, training programme, community awareness programmes, and emergency drills were organised to celebrate the occasion.
