Timely restoration of 33KV line disruption has been done at Padiyabahal and Maneswar in challenging condition

Sambalpur/Burla, 22.03.2024: TPWODL, the power distribution company of Western Odisha, has timely restored the 33KV line disruption caused by heavy rainfall and wind flow at Padiyabahal and Maneswar of Sambalpur district on March 21, 2024 (Thursday) at 6.30pm in challenging condition.

Due to continuous rainfall and heavy wind flow on March 20, 2024, (Wednesday) night several 33KV poles tilted dangerously, posing an extreme risk to the safety of the infrastructure. As a result of these tilted poles, the supply to the Maneswar PSS and Padiyabahal PSS was disrupted, impacting the neighbouring areas as well. The affected pole was situated in marshy, muddy terrain, making it inaccessible for vehicles and materials.

Addressing the situation required extensive work and approval from OPTCL officials. Various necessary equipment, such as Hydra, Pole Master, cements, stone chips, insulators, and other electrical materials, were essential for the restoration process. Following the receipt of the necessary approvals, work commenced promptly. Despite the challenging conditions, the TPWODL team displayed remarkable dedication and commitment to resolving the issue. Restoration work was successfully completed by 6:30 PM, with supply to the affected areas reinstated shortly thereafter.

TPWODL remains steadfast in our commitment to providing a reliable and uninterrupted power supply to our consumers, even in the face of adversity.
