Subarnarekha Port organises Mega health camp near Baliapal in association with district administration


· More than 1100 patients benefitted

· More such camps will be organised to serve the community

· More than 1300 patients receive treatment in May in two health camps organised by the Company


Baliapal, May 26, 2022: Continuing its Corporate Social Responsibility journey, Subarnarekha Port organized a free mega multi-speciality health camp at Pratapapur Community Health Centre of Baliapal block of Balasore district. More than 1100 community members including women, children and elderly patients from nearby villages including Dagara, Chaumukha, Naighati, Jamatukala, Pratappur, Rautura, etc. received treatment and free medicine in the camp.

Shri Nityananda Sahoo, MLA, Basta, graced the programme as the Chief Guest. Shri Benudhar Jena, Zilla Parishad member, Baliapal, Smt. Kasturibala Patra, Sarapancha, Pratapapur, Shri Prakash Singh, Executive Director, Subarnarekha Port, Shri Pramod Kumar, Head, Administration and Community Engagement, Subarnarekha Port were also present at the event.

Dr Namita Nayak, Child Specialist, Dr Ranjan Kumar Nayak, Surgery Specialist, Dr Sushanta Kumar Maharana, Medicine Specialist, Dr Sujit Narayan Mahapatra, Eye Specialist from Baleswar Main Hospital and Dr Benudhar Hui, Gynaecologist and Dr Haripada Das, Dental Surgeon from Pratapapur Community Health Centre attended patients and provided primary treatment.

Applauding the efforts of Subarnarekha Port for the health camp, Shri Nityananda Sahu said, I am happy to see so many local villagers receive treatment here. Such door step services are particularly more beneficial for the elderly, women and children.

Thanking to the local people and the administration for the overwhelming supporting for this health initiative, Shri Prakash Singh, Executive Director, Subarnarekha Port said, within this month we have organised two health camps treating more than 1300 local villagers. Along with more such health camps we will keep contributing our bit for the holistic development of the region.

On May 5, 2022 one more health camp was organised by Subarnarekha port in Dagara Panchayat where 220 patients were treated. Recently it had also provided drinking water facility in public places like Kalipada market under Baliapal block, Sub-Registrar Office Basta, Sub-Registrar Office Baliapal and Pratappur CHC.
