Utkal Alumina Hosts Successful Stakeholder Friendship Cricket Tournament: Collector XI Emerges Victorious

Bhubaneswar/Tikiri, September 10, 2023: Utkal Alumina International Limited, a subsidiary of Hindalco Industries Limited, Aditya Birla Group, reaffirmed its commitment to sports and stakeholder engagement by hosting a one-day Friendship Cricket Tournament at the Oshapada Township Cricket Ground on September 9, 2023.

Six teams competed in the tournament, including Collector XI - Rayagada, SP XI - Rayagada, CRPF XI - Rayagada, District Administration Kalahandi XI, Railway Division XI, and Utkal Alumina XI.

In an intense final match, Collector XI Rayagada emerged as the champions, securing the coveted trophy, while SP XI Rayagada put up an impressive performance to finish as the runners-up.

Distinguished guests including Smt. Swadha Dev Singh, IAS Collector and DM Rayagada, Shri Vivekanand Sharma, Superintendent of Police Rayagada, Sri Ajit Sangwan (DIG-CRPF), Sri Nilambar Mishal (Additional Labour Commissioner Bhubaneswar), Sri Bhaskar Raita, OAS (Additional District Magistrate Rayagada), Sri Sankara Chaudhary (RTO Rayagada), Sri Biswa Bisruta Tripathy (Tahasildar), and Smt. Heena Beig, President of Ujjwal Utkal Ladies Club, graced the event and encouraged the players.

Sri Mazhar Beig, Unit Head and President of Utkal Alumina, extended his gratitude to all the participating teams and officials for their active involvement in the tournament. He praised the players for their exemplary sportsmanship throughout the event.
