Marc Marquez returns to full-strength Repsol Honda Team at historic 1000th GP in France

Marc Marquez Makes His Return to Repsol Honda Team at the Historic 1000th Grand Prix in France

The much-awaited return of Marc Marquez to the Repsol Honda Team is finally here. Marquez will join Joan Mir in the fifth round of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship, Grand Prix de France, which marks the 1000th event of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing.

Marquez broke his first metacarpal on his right hand during the Portugal race, but after consulting with three separate medical teams, he will be back on track in France. The primary focus of the weekend will be getting back into the flow of a Grand Prix weekend and picking up where Marquez and the Honda RC213V left off.

Joan Mir, on the other hand, will be eager to find consistency and improvement in Le Mans. Putting together a consistent weekend will be his primary focus, making the most of all the track time available.

Round five of the championship will see Grand Prix motorcycle racing cross a historic threshold, the French GP scheduled to be the 1000th event. Honda has been a part of this event since 1959, and the history of Honda and Grand Prix racing has been intertwined ever since. Honda has taken 817 victories across all Grand Prix classes to date.

The Repsol Honda Team will be back on track on May 12 for Free Practice 1.
