Ethics Week 2022 inaugurated by TPWODL
Burla/ Sambalpur: Date: 25.02.22. The inaugural ceremony of the “Ethics Week 2022” was organized at TPWODL Corporate office. Ethics Week is celebrated annually by all tata group companies to commemorate 183rd Birth Anniversary of The TATA Group Founder Late Shri Jamsetji Nusserwanji Tata. Shri Jamsetji Tata was born on 3rd March 1839. Therefore, the week preceding 3rd March every year is observed as “The Ethics Week”.
In TPWODL on this occasion Shri Sunil Kumar Sharma, Chief Ethics Counsellor along with other Functional Chiefs inaugurated the function by lighting the lamp and garlanded the picture of the great entrepreneur and business leader. All present were also paid floral tribute to the leader.
Speaking on the occasion The CEC stressed upon the need for team TPWODL to read and assimilate TATA Code of Conduct (TCOC) not only in their professional and personal lives.He advised all the employees to contribute by adopting & spreading the core values and core principles mentioned in TCOC, which are based on the life and Morales practiced by the great leader by following ethical path.
Shri. Sumit Ghosh, The Chief Operations spoke about the Ethical values which he has imbibed in his life to lead a happy life. TATA code of Conduct is not just a document for all employees of Companies under TATA umbrella but a complete guide to all complicated questions in life Mr. Ghosh advised all the officials present to read TCOC regularly. To conclude the ceremony Mr. Cosmos Lakra, Head HR TPWODL proposed a vote of thanks to all the employees of TPWODL and their families while wishing all a very happy Ethics Week.
Similar inaugural ceremonies also organized in all TPWODL Circle Headquarters viz.: Sambalpur, Baragarh, Bolangir, Rourkela and Bhawanipatna. Where along with the Superintending Engineer concerned all employees offered floral tribute to the founder.
During the week various activities like, Ethics Poster Making, Debate, Discussion & speech on TCOC clause circulated for the day, Ethical Rhymes, Ethics slogan writing & Drawing Competition shall be organized for employees and their wards including the business associates employees and their wards as well.
